Area Attractions
There is so much to see and do in the
area. The cities and towns of Kelowna, Westbank,
Peachland, Summerland and Penticton are not far away.
Each has it's own unique character and charm. They all
host special events throughout the year ranging from hot rod
shows in Peachland to the internationally renowned Canadian
Ironman triathlon in Penticton. Kelowna boasts a
spectacular Canada Day fireworks display as well as
WakeFest, an event that attracts the top wakeboarders
from around the world.
Seclusion Bay Resort is centrally located
to all of these great cities and towns. Learn more
about the hundreds of events that take place throughout the
year by using the links provided at the bottom of this page.
The Okanagan Valley has become the golf
destination for golfers in and traveling to British
Columbia. This area has become a hot bed of quality golf and
attractive prices. Considering the U.S. dollar is worth
about $1.15 Canadian, the American golf tourist gets a 15%
bonus.
The Okanagan Valley is arguably Canada's
premier wine producing region. The local wineries have
collected many international awards for their outstanding
quality wines. The closest of these fabulous wineries
is less than 10 minutes from Seclusion Bay Resort. The
furthest is less than 2 hours south by car. It is well
worth the drive because as you travel south, the valley
changes and becomes hotter and dryer.
For the kids and the kids at heart, there are local
waterslide parks, go-cart tracks, paintball parks, arcades,
narrow gauge railway and bike tours and rentals. The
list goes on and on.
For a more relaxing time, why not check out what's playing
at one of the dozens of theaters in the area. All are built
with state of the art sound and picture. The latest releases
are always playing on one of the screens and the prices are
reasonable.
